After months of preparations for everything to be perfect, today begins the recording/shooting of Homicidios/Homicide.
And the series starts like this ...
Tomás Sóller (Eduardo Noriega), a professor at the School of Psychology, teaches a course on serial murderers in college, when a young man comes armed on campus and kills some of his classmates. That same night, the student is found dead in his car. All clues point to the young man committing suicide. Eva Hernández and Tomás Sóller discover that behind all these deaths, actually hides a serial murderer. This marks the beginning of close collaboration between Tomás Sóller and the homicide unit led by Eva Hernandez. The capture of the serial murderer is the biggest challenge in the career of both of them.
Together, they work in a multidisciplinary research team of criminal investigation, supervised by an old school commissioner, Andrés Ramos (Mariano Venancio), and a hardened sub-inspector in the Narcotics Squad, Alonso Izquierdo (Carlos García), a disciplined Deputy Inspector who moves like a fish in the water in the Homicide Unit, Pablo Montero (Enrique Berrendero), a Deputy Inspector who is a newcomer to the unit, María Losada (Vicky Luengo), and a sarcastic forensic expert who loves her job, Susana Rota (Marian Aguilera).
From formulatv.com:
This new project was introduced at a press conference on 17th February 2011 which was attended by the director general of the contents of Telecinco Manuel Villanueva, the fiction director David Martínez, Alberto Carullo, and Mariana Cortes the producer, the script coordinator Miguel Sáez and series director Alberto Ruiz Rojo.
The head of Big Bang Media has said that the Homicidios series brings renewal to TV crime drama. "It combines the detective novel with the plot. In this way, we built the first season." The starting point of fiction will lead to the arch on which to build the first season. The characters try to solve a case but there will be other episodic frames.

Many remember her little face, smiling and happy, carrying the 1992 Olympic flame from Greece. She was 15, and Marian Aguilera loved dancing, the theater and music. She began to exploit her artistic talent in short films and features in the sporadic appearance of a Catalan production. Her big break came thanks to the series Al salir de clase, where she rubbed shoulders with other actors of her age, some of which eventually ended up triumphing in the small and big screen. Although her latest role in Los hombres de Paco is still remembered by its gore ending, the actress has long always wanted to do comedy at theaters. Mi primera vez successfully premiered in Madrid and in the coming weeks, Pepe Rubianes room occupies the Capitol Theatre in Barcelona.
Imported from Broadway, the play is based on the adjustment made in 2007 by the American Ken Davenport (one of the most charismatic and award-winning producers of New York) of the stories told by the internet surfers on a website created in 1991 by Peter Foldy and Stuart Carige, before the communicative phenomenon of blogging in the U.S. Marian Aguilera considers it a work for "people with an open mind" who want to have a good time. The story line is humorous, which is about real stories that are explained in monologues and dialogues during the hour and a half of the play. They all revolve around a theme, according to sexologists, more important for men than for women: the first day that you lose your virginity. And surely in this issue, we all have a story to tell, or to hide.
-When proposed to make this work, did you see as the main challenge in the theater talking about sex, without any restriction?
I do not know why but I never thought they were talking about sex. It wasn’t difficult, because it talks about sex but not the sexual spectacle. In this sense, it is not a difficult scene, I think it's all very light.
- Do you think the public thinks like you and is ready to assimilate naturally that sex scenes are told on stage?
This play is very interesting, and we talk about sex but not explicitly. It's nice because the topic is the first time, which is very important. The other day a sexologist said that if the first had not gone well, the experience could turn into traumatic. In the work we collect stories about people who had some issues, and this involves many emotions on the part of young people, or people with difficulties. Not so much the sex itself, but the stories that lie behind these people and that we can identify with.
-The human being is voyeuristic in nature, and it seems that if you talk about sex even more ...
Yes, perhaps looking at the website with all the stories is more interesting than watching the play. At the end there is an interpretation of how we imagine these people would write. It is a script written by real people.
- Is it a youth-oriented work?
It is of course not. Obviously there are older people who are very closed, and these things will not ever be spoken about. Of all these people, there is a high percentage that gets to laugh, even when they want, and just convinced. Normally things usually go wrong if the company is somewhat forced because these issues have not been treated, and then they leave a little disappointed. But in general people have been very open-minded and it is not meant to provoke.
- You think you can even serve as therapy for some couples who have lost communication on sexual matters? I say this for the humorous approach of the subject ...
Yes, certainly, because as explained the sexologist who commented you before, there are things when we see as important, especially if you have not had any problems. But if you have had a small problem, it is traumatic that can comsume your thoughts of the day, especially for men.
- In the work, oddly enough, just male actors are naked...
Yes, that is fine, especially for convenience, because cold weather (laughs). At first I went with a tank top and finally I put a shirt over it because it’s very cold in Madrid.
- The initiative began in America with a website where people explained how they did their first time. Spain has done the same with other sites. Do you think the stories are far from one side of the pond to the other?
I think the main difference is that in our case we can tell who the people come from their accents, as part of Spain where they come from. This is something that can not be done with American stories. Here it's more fun because we identify and locate more.
-They talk about sex but Mi Primera Vez is a comedy, a tale that the public does not see a lot. Has this been a major issue that you face as an actress on stage?
Yes, in some ways yes, because when I did not know how they would react to this role. But in the end I saw it of course, I was doing nothing concrete and it was an enjoyable work. In the end it is working with the body, and it trained me and seduced me and here I am (smiles).
-I did not remember you doing any comic role for an hour and a half ...
No (laughs). I had done a role in a comedy series but always playing the same character. But the truth is that I feel very comfortable, I love comedy.
-At the end of the work ensures that 100% of viewers who have gone to see it will want to have sex that night. Do you have statistics?
(Laughs) I do not know, I think it's a joke, I guess everyone, not all.
-There are many people who still remember you by that image in Empurias carrying the Olympic flame in ‘92 games. How did you get that 'role'?
Yes, it's funny. I was 15 and I called Rosa Verges, who was the artist who organized the ceremony. I’ve always liked the dance, theater and music. It was a wonderful experience, but I wasn’t interested in sports, I've never particularly liked it. But it was lovely occasion. It was an opportunity to meet and interact with many people, because we spent two weeks in a small hotel and it all happened very fast, but it was magical.
-Your television debut was the series on TV3 Laberint D'ombres, although the success came with the series Al salir de clase, from which came a batch of well-known actors now ...
Yes, it is true that this series was my first promotion at the state and media, because it was a series that had many viewers, but I must confess that it was not something premeditated. I arrived in Madrid due to personal circumstances and it was an opportunity to work with people of my age, it was the first time I did. I've never been addicted to television, and there are many things done and I sounded like a Martian. As I arrived there and they told me that this series was a production and I did not know what else. Okay, cool, for me it was just work. My requirement was for a pick or not, I never thought about the success we have.
-You participated in other series, such as Esencia de Poder, but most remembered in Los hombres de Paco which you spent seven seasons playing the same character. What do you think was the secret of this production?
I do not know what the mystery is. No one has the formula, despite those who have it and then see that the series do not workin the series or the movies. If there is such a formula, we could use the product according to the quantity or people who want that look ...
-You see unconformist actresses. How did you feel having played the same character for four years?
It can become tiring, really. People were wonderful, I loved the cast of actors and I had a very good time. But there comes a point where you want to go out there and do not want to take every day the same route, the same set and have the same hairstyle. That deprives you time to do other things.
-The end of the series was controversial and dramatic. Los hombres de Paco seemed more like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Did you like the ending like that for Silvia?
The series clearly began as a comedy and at the end changed a little and became more dramatic because they saw that people also like to mourn. This is television and I guess they wanted a final impact because it is what the viewer expects.
-Although you are more popular for your roles on television, I have counted 12 films and two shorts. Is it the genre which you feel most comfortable as an actress?
This is something that always depends on the project. Maybe you take something because you like the script or the director and the final twist and the thing you're not familiar with. But if I have left with something it is to the theater. In fact, although I've been doing television, I've always somehow linked to clothes, school or making smaller assemblies. Television has saved me in bad times, because this is a job you never know, and I am not one of those actresses who can really choose what to do. When you take time off from work and I always suggest a role towards the economic moment, which is something that gives you the opportunity to live and continue.

In 2009, an interview with Marian Aguilera appeared in VIDEOS JAVIER CHECA. Since it was still 2009 at the time, Los Hombres de Paco took centre stage in the interview. Marian also talked about her life (very little).
Thank you Inês Reis for the translation!
They call her the quintessential redhead of the Spanish cinema, although she is not a quarrelsome readhead, rather the opposite. She is very shy, friendly and ,for sure, hard-working. Marian Aguilera began her career as an actress in Barcelona, her birthplace, where she debuted in an advertisement for Barbie Rockstar. At 14, she appeared in her first film El Largo Invierno/The Long Winter and later her face was all over the world when she carried the Olympic flame up the Empúries beach at the beginning of the Olympic Games in Barcelona (1992). However, what really gave her national fame was her role in Al Salir de Clase. Marian is very pleased with her role as Silvia in Los Hombres de Paco, a series that she has been part of for 7 seasons. She recognizes that love is a bit fearful and that even at 31, she doesn’t plan to have kids.
You've been working in Los Hombres de Paco since its debut in 2005 and now it begins the seventh season. How is your working environment?
Very good, and we are already like a family, besides, if you would not get along with so many hours of working together..., it would be difficult. Before this, my character was less significant, and this was all right from time to time because it allows you to relax or not get too tired. You don’t get the feeling that you’re working all day and have no time for yourself. However, now Silvia takes on a more prominent role because of her relationship with Pepa.
Your face became known thanks to the series Al Salir de Clase. How were those years, from 1997 to 1999?
I remember them fondly. I met new people, I had just moved to Madrid. I did not come with the clear intention, at least consciously, of looking for job. The goal was to move a little, go to another place. And this was very fast, I think it was like the second day, I had an audition and they called me. And the truth is, it was the first time I worked with people of my age for so long, and that was a very positive experience for me. I learned many things. Everyone from one city, I was arriving from another, and I also wasn’t that grown-up. I was working for the first time with people of my age who had more or less the same interests, the same passions, where we liked the same things, film, theater and all that. And about TV we didn’t know much at the time, so it was a risk that we were all taking. Uncertainty, and yes, we all lived it with such a joy. It was OK and intense.
What's new for the new season for Silvia and Pepa?
Now there is a small crisis, but as we want and love each other, our relationship will survive.
Is Silvia now completely sure of her sexual status?
Not necessarily, but it does not matter because she has found love and that is what matters.
And your father has already accepted it?
(Smiles) Yes, he did.
In what are Marian and Silvia similar?
In terms of how she lives her relationships, such as fear, maybe in that I am similar to her. So, thanks to Pepa who really loves her, she can overcome that fear. Hopefully, I will find a Pepa in my life, or rather, a good Pepe.
Will Silvia betray Pepa with a guy?
Mmmm .... it is a secret. In any case, if any, it will be very light, nothing major that will destroy the relationship.
Will there be any progress with Silvia-Lucas?
Silvia is over Lucas. As a companion he is missed, but there will be no reference to it.
Any story that happened during filming?
Once, we were recording the first intimate scene. It was a little hot, and as has always been said, when boys see two girls together, they “get excited”. When we were recording the scene, no one made any comment as if they were watching a cinema. Actually it was pretty funny. Usually We already knew that our colleagues were very respectful but that day they were so stunned that they didn’t even talk to us.
Have you ever considered becoming a mother?
Well, there we go… (smiles)! Well, at the time I am not planning to but it’s true that when I see Laura’s daughter and my in-laws and cousins’ children I feel like becoming one [mother]. But well, it will happen when the time arrives.

Marian Aguilera: "Hollywood does not go through my head" (2008)
Origin: Entrevista Marian Aguilera: "Hollywood no pasa por mi cabeza" (2008)
Interview for the movie El prado de las estrellas.
El Prado de las Estrellas is her last movie in which she stars with Rodolfo Sancho, who was her brother in Al Salir de Clase.
She is part of the large pool that was forged in the series Al salir de clase. Colleagues like Pilar López de Ayala, Elsa Pataky or Hugo Silva have shown, both inside and outside our borders, that young Spanish actors are in, and Marian Aguilera is not far behind.
The redhead par excellence of the Spanish cinema is slowly reaping the fruits of years of work. For several years, she is part of the successful cast of Los hombres de Paco. Meanwhile, Marian loves to enjoy big-screen roles, such as Luisa in El prado de las estrellas.
This time the Catalan claims to have especially enjoyed being under the direction of the legendary Mario Camus. Furthermore, she has met again old colleagues such as Rodolfo Sancho, who was her brother in Al Salir de Clase and with whom has rekindled, thanks to the film, a beautiful friendship.
- Marian, this is the second time that you put yourself under the command of Mario Camus...
Yes, the truth is that it was great to be part of his team, but the last time there were very few days and I couldn't enjoy it much. At that time I could not know Mario in the same way that I have known him now, with more time.
- How was the shooting?
(Smiles) When I was shooting I didn't have the feeling of making a movie, like in other occasions, and that was wonderful. That has made everything much easier; it is what I liked the most.
- You're the only girl in the cast. How did you feel?
Sometimes they want to take you by the arm and other times they laugh at you, in the best sense. I felt very comfortable, very sheltered... Like a queen! It was a real pleasure.
- How is Luisa, your character?
She's the typical girl who pursues a dream, who is not very happy with her life and is doing something to improve. She wants to learn, to get going and does not want to stay locked in the village.
- You are also from a village in Barcelona. Did the same thing which happened to her, happened to you?
Yes, absolutely. I also had it as clear as she had but I didn't have so many obstacles because my village is very close to Barcelona. I went back and forth every day because I was studying in Barcelona, and it was easier to achieve my dreams.
- And in personality, do you resemble her?
Very much. We're both very stubborn, with things very clear in our minds. So clear that sometimes I get things wrong because I think that people around me are sending me negative messages, I always interpret like they are trying to manipulate me.
- At this point, you are succeeding in film and on the small screen. Do you stop to think about your beginnings?
Yes, what happens is that I have assumed that in this world, you have a day like this, and at the same time, there are other days who are less fortunate... I try not to celebrate too much.
- In addition to match the second time with the director, [you are matched again with] Rodolfo Sancho, with whom you started your career in Al salir de clase.
(Smiling) Yes, we hadn't work [together] again and it has been great. We had a very good relationship because we were “siblings” back then, and this time we have a relationship without passion, and that previous experience helped us a lot.
- Hadn't you seen each other since then?
Yes, but only at certain times. While filming the movie we had time to talk a lot and catch up. We had some conversations at the hotel where we have come to confide in each other. We met for dinner, we had stories, and gradually it became like the sibling relationship we had in Al salir de clase.
- And do you stay in touch with other co-stars of Al salir de clase?
Yes, almost all of us are in Madrid and we meet in many places; if not at a dinner, it's at a premiere. I do not maintain contact with all but with almost everyone.
- The majority of that group have formed what is known as the pool of actors of the Spanish cinema...
It’s because back then there were not many young people series, so it is normal that they have drawn from us. It was a very good school.
- Does Hollywood go through your head?
I never think about it. I don’t see myself there nor I plan that. Sometimes it is very difficult to maintain the work here, even more to plan it there. I do not ever think about it.
- You are immersed in television, with Los Hombres de Paco, and in movies. Are you not planning to do theater?
I love theater, but it is hard to do it right now. Television is easier to do. Cinema and theater should be made in a more quiet and thoughtful manner. They are two things that are very hard and need to be thought of and take a chance to do beautiful things, that are worth it.
- They say you're a shy girl.
I may on occasion have said it myself, but I think that's not the word that defines me exactly, but it would be fairer to say that I am reserved.
- How do you define yourself?
Calm and introverted I would say.
- You have also stated that it takes a lot for you to get angry...
I get angry more and more (laughs). But if I get upset it is because I see injustices.
- What makes you nervous?
I get nervous depending on the day, how I feel. I am very irregular. One day I get very nervous at a press conference but in another, the next day, which is more important and with more people, I don’t. In this sense I still do not know me (laughs).
- Do you have a project coming up?
No. I'm still with Los Hombres de Paco. I have a movie premiere, where I make a tiny but very nice appearance, but I still do not know the release date.
- Any perspectives for 2008 that has just begun?
I don’t know (smile). It has just started and we'll see as it progresses.
- Marian, a dream to fulfill?
Many. Above all, to be a better person and have a good relationship with the people around me; being a righteous person.

If you're a big fan of Marian Aguilera, I'm sure you know about the wedding between Silvia Castro and Pepa Miranda and what happened in that episode (season 8, 2009). Ms. Aguilera's beauty and talent really shone through in the series for her ability to play almost crazy and hormonally-driven woman, who eventually found love in her life. But Ms. Aguilera's decision to leave the series and the writers' decision to make the exit very dramatic proved to very scarring to many fans. However, let's not deny that Ms. Aguilera's departure was done in great style -- in a beautiful and elegant wedding gown, on a happy occasion (although a bit messy towards the end).
